Mediation in a Nutshell

Course Overview:

Mediation is a term often used but seldom fully understood. The benefits however are widely accepted, especially as it is a process that can apply to any claim type, of any size. To fully appreciate the value of mediation it is important to have a basic understanding of the process involved and the techniques that a mediator applies. Mediation is after all highly successful, with some 80% of cases settling. Having a basic understanding of the day and the competencies applied is therefore a key step in helping to preserve this success and help promote the benefits of mediation.

This 1-day course is therefore designed to give you a comprehensive overview of the process and the competencies as applied by the mediator. In addition through a selection of tutorial based lectures and role-playing sessions you will not only gain a better understanding of the role that mediation may play within your practice but you will also acquire practical skills to enable you to adopt mediation style strategies within your daily work.
