Mary Banham-Hall

Mary became a Mediator in 1998 and has not looked back since.  She set up her specialist mediation company, Focus Mediation Limited, in 1999.  Focus has grown, attracting a wide range of mediators from a variety of professional backgrounds.  Mary believes passionately that mediation is the best solution in the majority of disputes. Her practical, problem solving skills and understanding of people make her a highly successful mediator with an excellent resolution record.  Mary is a peace-maker.

Henry Brown

Henry is an experienced mediator who has helped resolve many substantial and complex commercial and divorce matters. A dually qualified English solicitor and South African attorney, he initially trained as a mediator in New York in 1985 and had an active mediation practice, both civil-commercial and family, as well as training and writing extensively. He was co-founder and is a Vice-President of the Family Mediators Association and co-established Resolution’s mediation programme and was its first Director of Mediation.  Henry retired from legal practice and active mediation practice at the end of 2005 and focuses on training and writing, but occasionally undertakes mediation subject to his availability.

Stephen Brown

Stephen brings to mediation many years international experience from both his military and diplomatic careers. His professional life has focussed on helping parties from different cultural backgrounds reach a mutual understanding and an agreed position. He knows how governments and bureaucracies work. He has assisted many private sector companies deal with the complexities of negotiating across international boundaries.  As befits a Yorkshire man, his approach is straight forward, uncomplicated and committed.

John Brownrigg

John is a highly experienced mediator in the South West.  His primary role is to help separating and divorcing couples to reduce conflict and find positive solutions which protect family wealth and facilitate co-parenting through and beyond separation.  John specialises in complex financial family and family business issues.

Maeve Egan

Maeve has extensive experience of all types of mediation.  A key strength is her focus on the interpersonal aspects of any legal disputes, as she recognises the enormous impact disputes can have on every aspect of a person’s life.  Maeve seeks to resolve the emotional as well as financial/technical aspects of a dispute to enable working relationships to continue or new and positive directions to be agreed.  She undertakes both sole and co-mediation.
